Duty of Care

Sustainability

With increasing scrutiny by Local Government, Workcover, EPA etc it is imperative for all fibreglass manufactures to maintain the highest standards of environmental awareness. We are consistently conscious of our obligations to staff under OH&S, neighbours and the environment under EPA, Workcover (Dangerous Goods) and other environmental legislation. In this like many others industries failure to observe good environmental work practices in all areas can result in loss of approvals for production. For customers expecting reliable production and delivery the responsibility is on suppliers to provide sustainable compliance.

NoseCone is committed to providing a safe work environment for its employees, site visitors and neighbours. We will do this by undertaking continual review of processes and materials to control risks, provide training and consult with all stakeholders to ensure a safe workplace.

Dangerous Goods Licence

The NoseCone Guildford site maintains an up to date Dangerous Goods Licence in compliance with Council, EPA and Workcover guidelines.

Environmental Management Plan (EMP)

The Composites industry under the guidance of the Composites Australia (our industry association), has been conscious of its environmental responsibilities for many years. The development of an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) by all reputable manufacturers is crucial to responsible production and environmental sustainability in today’s market. NoseCone is a member of Composites Australia and we are pleased to show to qualified prospective clients our EMP and other compliance documentation.

As a long standing fabricator of reinforced polyester components NoseCone is committed to carrying out its operations in an environmentally responsible manner.

In conducting our business we seek to:-

  • Minimise or wherever possible eliminate pollution and waste.
  • Meet or exceed current environmental regulatory requirements with a view to remaining in advance of future legislation.
  • Consciously work to reduce energy usage and conserve natural resources.
  • Continuously assess and improve environmental performance.
  • NoseCone will work to achieve these outcomes by implementing and maintaining an Environmental Management Plan

The maintenance of an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) assists NoseCone to:

  • Protect the environment and worker health and safety
  • Comply with regulatory requirements and council directives, DA’s etc
  • Be prepared for environmental and other emergencies by the existence of clear procedures.
  • Demonstrate to the public that we are in control of any environmental impact of our operations.
  • Establish environmental impact controls in a cost effective way
