That’s One Big Spa BathA “spa bath for the stars” produced as a prop for an upcoming movie. Measuring 4.9 x 4.3 metres with seating and steps incorporated it is the largest spa our crew have seen. Manufactured to be used above ground and self supporting it was still too big for the average backyard deck. |

iCinema Dome Screen InstalledThe first 3.0 metre hemispherical screen has been successfully installed at UNSW for iCinema. NoseCone manufactured a 1/6 th segment mould from lathed timber pattern to produce a screen with high section to section tolerances and minimal joint line show. The initial testing has been very satisfactory and several institutions and public spaces are now considering installation of the projection system. |

CCBM Infusion Licence GrantedNoseCone takes Licence from Arctec Canada for CCBM Infusion System (Closed Cavity Bag Moulding). For both production speed and economy and from an environmental improvement we assessed the CCBM system to be the most user friendly and cost effective system available at the time. We anticipate turning many customers and some of our own higher volume moulds to the CCBM system. |

NoseCone makes Sidewalls for WinnebagoCombining the manufacture of fibreglass flatsheet, Dow Styrofoam™ core and vacuum lamination technology NoseCone has commenced manufacture of internally framed motorhome sidewalls insulated with high density foam. The resulting panel provides strength sufficient to meet ADR Seatbelt Anchorage requirements. |

Vacuum Press InstalledNoseCone has taken delivery of adhesive application equipment and a vacuum press capable of manufacturing a 13 x 3 mtr trailer side wall. Utilising GRP skins manufactured in house and Dow Styrofoam core material NoseCone has contracted to Lucar Cargo Van in Victoria for the production of lightweight roof and side wall panels. Manufactured by Old Acre Equipment in UK, the supplier Rob Bridgland commented that the plant was state of the art anywhere in the world for vacuum manufacture of composite panels |

Fielders Bakeries orders Sandwich Panel BodiesImpressed with the quality of fibreglass parts (NoseCone) fitted to their fleet Fielders requested NoseCone develop a lightweight panellised body for local delivery vehicles to keep to the Class 1 Licence requirement. NoseCone in conjunction with Dow Chemical develops a panel body of FRP skins and 12mm Dow Styrofoam™ core. |

Fielders Bakeries goes NoseConeFielders bakeries have selected NoseCone for all their fleet rigid and trailer bodies. Extensive testing out of both city and country bakeries confirm superior performance from NoseCone on all runs and vehicles. “We had to go there” said Len Emerson, Group Fleet Manager, “the fuel savings are conclusive and it was getting so the drivers only wanted to take the units with NoseCone because of the increased stability and gear holding” |
