This video gives a practical demonstration of air flow and wind resistance with and without a NoseCone® wind deflector. The model truck is free to roll on the wind tunnel floor and the fan has been calibrated using a hand held anemometer.

The telltales on the truck body show the turbulence created by the flat front wall without a NoseCone and the laminar less turbulent flow with a NoseCone installed.

Without NoseCone the truck is pushed back easily by 60 to 80 kmph winds. With NoseCone installed the truck has a smoother aerodynamic profile and better handles the wind due to reduced frontal resistance and reduced turbulence.
